Intermittent Failure of Login Scripts

Running an NT4 Domain users are intermittently not recieving their login scripts. Originally the domain was set up with a PDC and a BDC, however the BDC was reinstalled to a Member Server. There is no reason as to why the login scripts should not be being called upon. Clients are running a mixture of Windows NT Workstation and Windows 98

Sounds to me like your BDC is still answering your login but has no login script.
Did you reinstall NT from the very beginning.
