I recently bought the Windows NT 3.1 CD-ROM disk off ebay. I am trying to install it on a laptop that has no CD-ROM drive. I have tried Direct Cable Connecting which is not working and my Zip drive isn't working. Does anyone have a list of which files go on each disk?

If you can't get a cdrom then you have to find a drive to drive method. Here's what you do. Go buy a product called Laplink. It should come with cables. Use it to connect the laptop to a pc that contains a cdrom drive. Use that cdrom drive to copy the contents of the 3.1 [if that is windows this is a downgrade from 95. If its NT then it is the original release which I would not term as stable. NT 3.50/1 were OK. NT4 is still around] cd to a folder on the drive. Laplink the contents of that folder to the laptop. Install the laptop version by running the install from the folder on the laptop hard drive.
