windows NT sp6a, HP laserjet 4000 When installing the drivers for lj4000 I receive a Dr Watson error in setup.exe ...this happens everytime and always at 98%. It seems to install the drivers fine but it is the HP JetAdmin that seems to fail. From the screen it appears to be updating the registry when it fails. Have tried from CD and from downloading from HP site but still same error. Removed all printer settings and tried to re-add but no joy. Can any one help please?

What does the Dr. Watson error read? Considering you have tried more than one driver, I don't think the drivers are at fault, it sounds like an unexpected error in the Registry modification as you leaned towards too. If it were me, I might reinstall SP6 and reboot, and try the driver again...
