Hi can you help me ?
I have a windows 98 machine and I'm trying to install a copy of Windows NT server 4.0.
I'm doing this so I can use some hot 3D software - trouble is it only runs on NT.
I have been through the process of creating 3 boot setup disks, I reboot my machine get it to detect my hard drive then after that it asks me to insert the win NT cd-rom, even though I insert the CD the software does'nt respond and continues to ask for it ?
Help - please :-(
P.S I have two HDisk and would ideally like to install NT on my 850meg slave drive and boot it from there when I wish to use my 3d software - ANY SUGGESTION PLEASE ??? Help !!! :-( mail me...

NT will only load on the master drive not the slave. Your master drive is probably formatted with FAT32 which is not compatible with WinNT. That is probably the reason the install is failing. Let us know if your c: drive is formatted in FAT16 instead of FAT32, but I am willing to bet it is FAT32.

Hello I am a Network admin. I have Win NT serv 4.0 Win98 and Win95 all on the same 20gig drive I used a program called System Commandor It will let you format partition and re-partition from fat16 to fat32 and back again on any partition primary or extended. You can email me for detales but i have done just what you are trying to do:)

If you boot from the cdrom instead of the floppy it should let you fdisk and change the format and not get the crazy errors but you still have to use the master and not slave drive.
