i am having serious problems installing winnt,
i have 17 gb hdd ,i have win95 on my 2 Gb Fat-16 primary partition, and the rest 10 gbs are allocated in 5 logical Fat-16 partitions, now while installing Winnt, after puttig the 3 discettes it will say that setup couldn't find my dos prepared drive.
i formatted my hard disk with "dos 6.22" format and then i could allocate on 8 Gbs , i could install Winnt in this case, but if i try to allocate more space using pq magic from win95 i can't boot winnt again..
could any body please tell me how to recover the rest of the space and can i install "linux red hat 6.1" parallel with win95 and winnt in this case.
i'll greatly appreciate any +ve advice,

Create your FAT16 partition for win95/98 2Gb.

leave the rest of the disk free. Run winnt setup and when asked what partitions to install to create a new one to install to FAT or NTFS (note you wont be able to see the NTFS drive from Win95/98). Boot to winnt and install SP4 or later (you need this for the updated atapi driver so you can see bigger disks). Run disk administrator, you should now be able to divide up the rest of the disk.

As for the linux, I'm no expert but I know people who install linux along side dual boots and use a floppy to boot linux.

you can also use third party software for the boot since you have PQ partition magic install boot magic as well under 98 this should work fine.
