Hi all, i was instructed to install WinNT4 Server edition on a new machine, the HW config: P4-3Ghz, Asus P5GL-MX, 2X256MB, and a 80GB SATA HD. the symptom: Reboot - loop during the first screen of the installation screen (which is the background in Blue color) tried: changed to PATA 13G HD and partition it have two 2GB Fat16 as c: and d:; copy the i386 to d: then install it by winnt /b; update the MB BIOS, result were same. i do have a concern is that the new Intel chipset will not support the expired OS like Winnt4? ps. similar thing http://www.computing.net/windowsnt/wwwboard/forum/22840.html but the MainBoard equipped AMI BIOS, so i cannot find the same (or similar) options there, would anyone have experience on installing the Winnt of nowaday pc? tks~
