Subject: Install 32-bit drivers on NT 4.0
Comment:

Can the ImageReader ISA scanner, model FB613 be installed on a PC running Windows NT 4.0? I guess more importantly will the 32-bit TWAIN drivers on the OEM CD load and run? Any experience welcome

Are these drivers written for Windows NT 4.0?

If the drivers are for Windows NT 4.0, they should work.

If the drivers are not for Windows NT 4.0, they almost certainly won't work.

The OEM CD and/or documentation provided by the manufacturer should indicate what platform(s) is/are supported.

Andrew - Thanks! The OEM CD only mentions Windows 95, but the drivers worked well on Windows 98se

Yes they will work on Win98se as it is an upward progression from Win95. Windows NT is totally different in the way device drivers are handled compared to Win9x.

You'll need to try and find a web site for the makers and see if they have a support page. You could also search using www.google.com

Maurice - Thanks! The OEM is no longer accessable. I've searched enough to satisify myself that no NT 4.0 drivers exist.
