I need to install infrared ports on my laptop running with NT 4.0 service pack 3 (to be connected with my cell phone Nokia 6110 and Data Suite 2.0. Can someone help me??

Bad news... I don't know of anyway to do this under NT 4.0. They are planning on providing the drivers in the next release of NT.

I have the same problem ... and I didn't find any Infrared WindowsNT4.0 drivers yet ...
Does anyone has a solution ????

There are NT4 drivers available, but not from Billyboy. And, because it is from a third party, you'll have to pay for it. One benefit from this software: it is capable of speeds up to 4 MB....surf to:

I don't see any other solution at the moment.

Hi,
It depends more on the type of laptop you use
than the Windows NT. By example, I'm using the infrared port on my ThinkPad to synchronize my IBM Workpad (and now I'm trying to use the 8210 modem but it's a little bit more difficult) and it works very well. IBM provides (www.pc.ibm.com) the needed files and the installation will add 3 more devises. You must activate your infrared port (and normally desaticate your serial port because they both use the same IRQ) and attached your com port to this IRQ. That's all. So, maybe asking the constructor is one way to have the solution. Good luck.
