incoming messages disappears on ms outlo

Hi, Can anybody help me troubleshoot this problem on MS outlook 98 running on NT4 workstation If an email is read from inbox, message disappears after closing, and next time the emails come again when checking for new mails, and thus get accumulated. But when i delete the emails unread, and open it in deleted items they remains in deleted item, as read emails, i checked all settings, reinstall ms outlook, tried another account, still the same. Thanks in advance

Does this happen on only one machine? Check MS Knowledge base for any patches or updates Pablo
