I need a good mail server

I am looking for a good mail server program that I can use on my home network. I would ideally like to run it on Windows NT, but I could also run it on a Windows 2000 Pro PC.
Now.. What is a good program to use for a mail server?? Somthing that is farly simple to configure and maintain. A free program would be good but if there is a better one that cost a bit of $$ I would also go with that....
Anyone have any ideas on what I should use??
