I just found an old notebook in my basement that used to belong to my old company that has since gone belly up and i don't remember my password to get onto it and can therefore do nothing with it. It has Nt 4.0 workstation and no floppy drive and i can't figure out how to get to the bios or access the cdrom drive.

Generally i dont think you can reset the password on an NT labtop box. First i would try no password, then maybe the name of the company or other general passwords. if that doesnt work if you have access to a software named ERD Commander which boots from the cd rom and allows you to reset the password for the NT users.

Bios is usually f2 when the comp is booting up. if it is a password on the bios then its more difficult. you would probrably need to crack open the box and find the CMOS battery and unsolder it and that will clear the bios memory. Then put it back in.

Hope this helps
Drew
