I can't log on to my company's server. It was working fine last nite, but i logged off, then tried later to log back on, and it won't let me. invalid password. I know that i am typing in the right password, and the server computer is up and running.
I have NT Server on the server.Workstation has windows 98 and office 97. The caps lock is not on. I have reset the wireless router.I am trying to log on to the server with a company laptop, that has worked on every other occasion but this one.
Does anyone know of any sites that address this particular problem? Google serch is fruitless, and MS's site sucks.

Keep on rockin.

Laptop... is your number lock on? This happens to me when I am not docked and the number pad is integrated with the normal keyboard (ex. letter y may actually be #1).

If you are getting a invalid password, then it's likely not the router since it sounds like you are communiating with the server.

Hi jerri

Please refure to david berry's problem cant'log in to laptop

I've typed out a solution that i use now and again. I've used it to sort out two clients machines one windows nt 4.0 server and one windows 2000 pro

the message that i've writen out is under the name of selousscouts.

And my clients are big companies and litle ones and private jobs. so i know what i'm talking about.

Just remember that no matter how experianced we all are we can all learn from one another and help each other out. Even if we are IT pro's or not

cheers selousscouts
