Reply: (edit)Hmmm. Must not have been a good copy. When I copied mine, it worked fine. When you make the copy, make an exact copy, and save it to disk before you write out the new CD. Good luck, Chase

Reply: (edit) Another thing to consider is that not all machines are able to boot off of the CD-ROM. You can set this option in the BIOS of most newer PC's, but some just can't do it.

Reply: (edit)It depends on your definition of "copy". If you are just copying the files from one CD to another, then no, it won't work. Do a search for a program called Clone CD. it will let you make exact copies of CD's.

Reply: (edit)If you need more info on how the bootable NT and Windows 2000 CDs work, (and how to build a custom bootable CD from an otherwise non-bootable collection of files....) this link rocks. Too bad I only have the trial edition of ERD Commander. http://www.windows2000faq.com/Articles/Index.cfm?ArticleID=14732&Key=Emergency%20Repair
