My company PC use LAN to access to internet and share all company's printer. While my laptop connect to company LAN ( using NIC connect to LAN), my pc can easy access to internet, but can not share company's printer. I was tried few times to setup printer under LAN. I was clicked add printer, then clicked a network printer or LAN printer, but never get any printer. Is there any one know how I can setup LAN share printer?

Check you TCP/IP settings. Depending on your network setup...you may need to setup some bits and pieces. Easiest way is go into Network settings on a working LAN PC, copy down the TCP/IP settings and then put the same info into your laptop...Except the IP address(if not DHCP).

Sounds like your company LAN is using DHCP because you can be able to use the Internet. To access the Internet in a DHCP environment, all you need is an IP but that's not the case for the printer. The printer is consider to be a network resourse (in a secured domain environment), so in order for your laptop to use this resourse in the domain, you must make sure that your laptop is either part of the domain (joint to the domain) or login to the domain using a valid domain account. Network resourse must be access via authenticated/valid accounts before utilization.
Summary: You should just be able to ADD NETWORK PRINTER find the name of the server.... double click the printer should appear... Highlight it, then OK to add....
Summary: Can someone tell me how to get the open with option back once you have assigned a program to open a file, I forgot to check the "always use this progam to open file" box, or is it too late? Thanks ...
