I can create a TCP/IP network boot disk for a Desktop computer with any NIC but when I try to create one for a laptop with a PCMCIA network card, the system runs out of memory and I'm unable to start the network services. By the way my network is completely Tcp/IP on a NT 4.0 SPk 5 environment.

SystemSoft has recently developed a product called PCCardAccess which lets you boot from a floppy and access the PC Card slots. Basically, we are providing the card and socket services needed for this operation.

Anyway, we ran into the memory problem as well while we were testing. We found that if you used the brief redirector instead of the full redirector, that the problem either went away or was minimized.

You can get more info on our web site at www.systemsoft.com. Check out PCCardAccess and the tech support.
