How do i access the RS-232 port under Windows NT?

I need to read/write to the serial com port in my C++ program running in console mode under NT-4.0; i am using Visual C++ 6.0; are there any library functions or generic driver functions to do this?

No. You cannot write directly to ay port or hardware device under NT. This may cause crashes so Microsoft has developed NT in such a way that you cannot do this.
