Comment: I have a few NT Servers that I have inherited and because no logs are available, I don't know what level (40-128 bit) it has. How can I verify this?

Reply: (edit)do a Start/Run/SYSKEY.EXE This will say if encryption (128 bit) is enabled or disabled. If you are below SP3, there is no syskey, 128 bit is not available. Please note, this encryption only refers to passwords in the SAM.
