Subject: How can I tell what level of encryption
Comment:

I have a few NT Servers that I have inherited and because no logs are available, I don't know what level (40-128 bit) it has. How can I verify this?

do a Start/Run/SYSKEY.EXE
This will say if encryption (128 bit) is enabled or disabled. If you are below SP3, there is no syskey, 128 bit is not available.
Please note, this encryption only refers to passwords in the SAM.

Oh here it is, Q176820.
or just find ndiswan.sys and checkout the version; domestic is 128 , export is 40.
-sorry about the winver answer.
I never knew SYSKEY, that's cool, thanks Dan
