TKS in advance!
I am using NT server 4.0 with SP6. I have a some user accounts with administrator privilage. Those users can able to change the default administrator password using Administrator Tools\User Manager for Domains. Can we able to restrict it?
Wheather can we able to invissable some useraccounts in the Usesr manager for user defined administrator accounts, not a default administrator?
Dont give them an admin account !!! Give them a power user or add an account to that group with a user name and make it so that they cannot change the password.. DADADA
Giving them power user rights would be your best bet. Create a local admin account, change teh nemae and set a specific password. Then set the properties for that account. Then create a Network Admin account on the server, you can assign local admin priveleges to it and then do not give out the account information. Also restrict the ability to change the password. I would say setup new accounts with power user, set to user must change password at next logon, select user can not change password. Create a default password for your admin group and use that to reset any users that lock them selvs out. Not to hard. I am sure you are aware they do it all the time.
