pls help, recently, one of my NT workstation got some problem, when it finished loading windows NT40, it doesn't show the logon windows for me to login, how can I do?
I've seen that problem; it could be due to a number of things. In my case I think it was my video card — I had just uninstalled SP3, but failed to uninstall the video drivers, which required SP3. When I rebooted, I saw that the monitor went into 1600x1200 mode even if I selected VGA mode at startup, so I knew something was wrong. And then the logon box didn't come up, for some reason. Even Ctrl-Alt-Delete didn't work, so I had no way of finding out what the problem was. I'd recommend trying to boot in VGA mode, or with the Last Known Good configuration. If that doesn't work, try reinstalling the Service Pack — hopefully it will repair itself, if that is the problem.
