I hava some problems with my server's hard drives that I have to re-partition them and reinstall NT4.0. How do I restore all the user accounts (including logon name, password, profile, user rights)to the new NT4.0. I back up the server everyday. Does NT maintain a user account file that contains all the necessary information so I can just copy this file from my existing NT to the new one? Please help! I don't want to recreate every user account, plus I don't know all the passwords.

Thanks in advance.

Peter

If you backed up the registry on the DC's, you're in luck. The SAM is stored in the registry (This includes all account information, but not the enviornment settings). Just perform a full restore.
