Comment:
SP4 on cd had a hal.dll.softex,which can be used in conjuction with editing the registry to make your machine powerdown on shutdown. does anyone know where I can download this dll? I don't have the cd by the way
2. Use hal.dll, hal.dll.softex, halapic.dll, halmps, ... (depending of your´s motherboard type) by copy the correct archive to %SystemRoot%\System32 folder, also as hal.dll
Obs.: You can get hal.dll by instaling or unpack service pack 4 or later and copy this files from \temp directory to %SystemRoot%\System32
