I'm getting the same error when trying to launch Q3 under W98... First try, my system freezes and i must reboot. Second or third try, the message "glidlnit..." appears. I choose "close" then try again launching Q3 and sometimes it works 1 time out of 3... ------------------------------ When launching Q3 under Nt4 sp4, i have a "blue screen of death" saying "dumping physical memory" and i must reboot....
As i understand after removing one by one the 3dfx drivers from ../winnt/system32/..., there is a conflict between 3dfxVGL.dll from 3dfxrv6 drivers set and Mga.dll from Matrox set in my system...
My system is Dual PII 233 with a Matrox Millenium II + Voodoo2 config, dual boot W98 and Nt4 sp4.

I am having the exact same problem. I have the glide2x.dll file, but when I open up the UltraHLE Emulator and try running and N64 Rom, I get an error message that says:

I need 3dfxvgl.dll!!!!!!! It is for Quake3 You will find it in your C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\3dfxvgl.dll

Hiyas-
I am getting that error when my windows boots up, and also when I try to load everquest as well. I get to the Play online option and click it and the error shows up then. However I can play quake 2 and quake 3 what is up any ideas? Please help i need my evercrack =) Thanks!
