Use it to create exact images of hard disks so that you can load the same image on multiple pcs without having to go through the whole installation process each time. If you want a better answer go to symantec.com and read up.

Excellent application run off diskette to create an image of a PCs hard disk, irrespective of what O.S. is on it.
Cheap backup solution and invaluable for rolling out large numbers of PCs. e.g. manual build for one NT PC and applications, security = 4 hours. 8 PCs built of one Ghost image in 12 minutes.
Build your initial PC, Ghost the disk image to a server, connect several PCs to server share via DOS boot diskettes and hub, image at your liesure. See symantec.com for licensing costs (one for each peice of hardware)
