Hi Boys n girls
My friend (Honest) had his latop trashed by his IT department. They have said the only way to fix this is by a re-image (wipe it) but he hasnt done a back up recently.
So he has managed to use NTFS DOS to mount the Nt partition on dos mode.
So he can see all his data etc but just cant boot into NT GUI.
So is there a way of him getting any data from his PC ?
He has an IBM T22 Laptop. Loaded with NT4.0 SP 6.
So he wants to get is data onto another machine then give it back to his IT people so they can give him a new clean image !

As he can boot DOS and see the data in the NTFS partition I would suggest trying to get hold of a old copy of LapLink that worked under DOS. The laptop can be linked to another PC and ha can transfer the files that way rather than trying to copy on to floppies.
