Get hold of NIC's MAC address???

Does anybody know how I could get hold of the MAC address of my NIC. I would like to have some sort of Hardware-set ID for the machines in my network. Preferrably this address could be sent back to me by a function so i can use it to determine file selection in a DOS Batchfile.

If by MAC address you mean hardware address than from a dos prompt type in ipconfig /all

This should give it to you....
