You would have to do a complete reinstall of WinNT to do that. The D: drive is usually formatted with NTFS file system and the C: drive is usually formatted with FAT file system. If you don't have experience with installing WinNT, I would not attempt it. It is fine to use the D: drive just like any hard drive. I purposely partition my NT workstations with a C: and D: drive because the NT system with FAT can be read from DOS and the NTFS is more efficient for storing data.

First make the 3 setup disks. Get 3 floppies and format them. Place the Cd in the CDROM and go to a command prompt and change the drive letter to the cdrom drive. then type "cd I386" without the quotes. then type "winnt32 /ox" without the quotes. this will make the 3 setup disks in desending order 3-2-1. Now boot with disk one and follow the bouncing ball. If this is an IDE drive, you won't have to add anything. If it's scsi , you'll need the driver(s). When it comes time to select the partition, highlight each partiton and delete them, then you can create a new C partition with a max volume of 4096 M either FAT or NTFS.
