I am working on a NT as well as a 98 OS . I want to secure some folders of mine with a password.
Could u please help me .

There's nothing native to 98 that will secure individual folders with a password. You can try a utility such as Magic Folders (look in www.download.com) that works pretty well. You might also look into a Norton Utility called Diskreet. On NT you can secure folders using NTFS permissions. If you have FAT partitions on NT then you may be able to use one of these other utilities (I've never tried using them on NT).

this is a lame answer but you can hide them.
casual users wouldn't know they were even there
