I am attempting to install an EZ GIG external hard drive on my Toshiba 490CDT laptop. I am running NT 4.0. I was initially having an IRQ conflict, but resolved that by disabling the tosintr devices driver (whatever that did, I do not know, but the system booted without it).

Now, although I can see (hear) the system attempting to connect to the EZ GIG hard drive, it does not. Viewing the event log, I get about 10 errors in a row that say "The device, \Device\ScsiPort1, did not respond within the timeout period."

Any help would be appreciated.
