Comment:
How would you export the entire registry from one computer to another?

Open the Start Menu, go to run, type regedit. Highlight My Computer, click on File, Export, type name of file and location where to copy exported file. If you want to implement the exported registry settings to another PC just double click on the file and it will make all necessary registry changes. Thanks for the reply. Reason i was going to try this is I have two machines that are exactly the same in model, build, and NT version. One as crashed giving me a kmode exception error. So i was going to try and remove the winnt dir and reinstall then restore the registry from the other so i would not have to rebuild the entire machine. NOt sure if this would work or not.

If both machines are the same, why don't you ghost it with Ghost from Symantec or Drive Image from Powerquest. You can get a copy of Drive Image from www.fosi.da.ru

If the one machine cannot even boot. How would I connect it to the other in order to run the ghost client? (i've never used ghost but downloading a trail version now).

Burn the image of the good machine on a CD or use the DOS boot netcast feature and image it across a network.
