Problem,
For the last couple of days when I click on any EXE that is on my desk top I get prompted with an "OPEN WITH" box. IT tells me to click the program i want to use to open the EXE i just click on. If I try to open something in CONTROL PANEL, I get the same message, except the EXE is alway RUNDLL32. I think I got a virus, but I don't know for sure. Could my Registy be currupt? Any help would be welcomed.
Thanks

Possible virus.. do you have any virus protection on this machine? Update it (if you can) and do a full scan on your system. You may need a virus scan emergency disk.

Ran Mccafee virus scan several times, Had a hit for wmm{something}.exe, but when I went to look for that file I could not find it.
Checked the whole HD. What will an emergency disk due for me?

In case the virus loads in memory using a anti-virus boot disk will ensure that this does not happen. Just another cautious procedure.

Mcafee finds the exe.. but it doesnt clean it?

You are probably some one that goes to the library and as for A book.

If you run the scan again and you write down the complete name of the virus than you can get a patch on the Symantec site
