If i want to take backup of my Exchange server all user mails, which directory should be taken backup?

You have a couple of choices here.

1. buy a suitable backup package such as Veritas BackupExec plus the Exchange Server addin(this comes separate). This will enable you to back up normal files, and for the Exchange Server you can backup the entire database and/or individual mailboxes too. If you just backup the database you would have to restore the entire database even if a single mailbox needed to be restored. If you backup the individual mailboxes too you can either restore the whole database or individual mailboxes. It does take a long time to back up this way as you are effectively backing up the emails twice.

2. Use NT4's ntbackup utility. It's not as intuitive as a proper backup tool but it knows how to backup Exchange. It will backup the entire databse so you would have to restore the entire database if required. Not perfect but better than nothing.
