Running Exhange 5.5 SP4 on NT 4.0 SP6a.

Hard drives are a RAID 5 config with drive C: 540 and Drive D: 6 GIG.

I am getting very slow response when I use the mouse or move around on my Exchange box.

I check the pagefile using performance monitor and it is constaly at 95%.

What would be the idea size for the pagefile. Currently 2mb only on drive C: with 512 to 1024 on the D: drive.

Any thoughts...

...depends on your installed RAM.
but...does your 'system' have full control permissions on D:?

Ooops I guess I did not mention that.

System has 256 mb ram.

As far as full controll of D: I am not sure what you mean.

The system is an HP LH II PII-266 with 3 - 4gig drives in a RAID 5 (HP Net Raid) configuration. Like I said above drive C: is 540 meg partition and drive D: is 6 gig.

Does this help???

go to nt explorer, right click on D then properties then security then permissions.
make sure system has FC
What's your free space on C? and D?
system means operating system. If the partition that has the pagefile on it doesn't allow permission for the system then the OS can't use the pagefile.
