Excel slow to list LAN directory.

Hi, I am having a little trouble in Excel, when going into the LAN to get a file, the directory listing comes up very slowly and sometimes stops for a few seconds. The network is running at 100Mbit. Anyone got any ideas? (same problem on 4 different machines)Please reply here or email me. Thanks.

Is excel the only one? What type of protocols are you running and are they in order.

Yes, and we ae running TCP/IP.
