Is there a way to view the NT Event Log in DOS (before loading the NT O/S)?

I'm unable to access Windows at any point beyond an SCM error for a "failed driver" (just after Logon). The error and resulting system lockup occurs consistently in both standard and VGA mode.

Any ideas on troubleshooting strategies would be greatly appreciated!
