Hai,
I want to set up intranet in my office. So I try to instal IIS(ver 2.0). My questions is:
1. How to install IIS 4.0
2. My ODBC ison cannot open in control panel.So i try reinstall my office 2000 and got a following message:
Error 1918.Error installing ODBC driver: Microsoft Text Driver(*.txt;*.csv), ODBC error 0: Verify that the file MIcrosoft Text Driver(*.txt,*.csv) exists and that you can access it.What is the problem/ Before that Iam using office xp proff and I uninstall and install my office 2000 again.Using windows nt 4 sp 6a

SYMPTOMS
========
Error 1918. Error installing ODBC drver: Microsoft Text Driver (*.txt,
*.csv), ODBC Error 13: Could not load the setup or translator library. Verify
the file Microsoft Text Driver (*.txt, *.csv) exists and that you can access
it.This behavior can occur if there is a damaged or missing Open Database
Connectivity (ODBC) dynamic-link library (DLL) file.RESOLUTION
==========
To resolve this issue, follow these steps:
1. Download and install Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) 2.6.
NOTE: To download the most recent version of MDAC, browse to the following
Microsoft Web site:
http://www.microsoft.com/data/download.htm#251info
2. Restart your computer in a clean boot state.
To use a clean boot option in Microsoft Windows 98, follow these steps:
a. Click Start, click Run, and then type "MSCONFIG" (without the quotation
marks) in the Open box. Click OK.
b. In the System Configuration Utility (MSConfig) window, click the Selective
Startup button.
c. Click to clear all the check boxes for the options under Selective
Startup.
d. Click OK to close the MSConfig window. Click Yes when you are asked to
restart your computer to enable the changes.
To use a safe boot option in Microsoft Windows 2000, follow these steps:
a. Restart your computer, and when the Boot menu appears, press F8.
b. When the "Windows Advanced Options" menu appears, select an option, and
then press ENTER.
c. When the Boot menu appears again, with the words "Safe Mode" displayed in
red at the bottom, select the installation that you want to start, and
then press ENTER.
To use a clean boot option in Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition (Me), follow
these steps:
a. Click Start and then click Run.
b. In the Open box, type "msconfig" (without the quotation marks) and then
click OK.
c. On the General tab of the System Configuration Utility dialog box, click
Selective startup. Clear the following check boxes under Selective
startup:
- Load static VxDs
- Load environment variables
- Process System.ini file
- Process Win.ini file
- Load startup group items
NOTE: One or more of these check boxes may not be available, depending on the
files that are present on your computer.
d. Click the Startup folder tab so that it is in front, and then click to
select *StateMgr.
e. Click OK.
f. Click Yes when you are prompted to restart your computer.
In Microsoft Windows 95 and Microsoft Windows NT, follow these steps:
a. Hold the CTRL+ALT+DELETE keys until the Close Program dialog box or Task
Manager dialog box appears.
b. Select all items, and then click End Task. Do this until all that remains
is the Explorer.
3. Insert your Office 2000 CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive or DVD-ROM drive.
4. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
5. Double-click Add/Remove Programs.
6. Double-click the Office 2000 entry listed in the Add/Remove Programs
Properties dialog box.
7. Click Repair Office.
8. Click "Repair errors in my Office installation", and then click Finish.
