Comment:

Every time I boot up, I get an error message window saying " XYZ.mpg could not be deleted, the file cannot be accessed or is in use by another program" or similar message. File XYZ.mpg is just an example- it is usually a file I deleted the day before. After hitting OK everything continues normally. I can do a file search for the file it says can't be deleted but its not there. Any ideas what can be causing this?
My system info:
Pent 233, 64meg ram, 4gig HD, NT4.0 sp6

I had a similar problem in Win95... I couldn't delete a file. The message returned as 'unable to locate'. Are you using some sort of recycle bin protection? What does the event viewer tell you?
