Hi all,

I'm having a very intermittent problem with one of my Windows NT 4.0 servers (ServerX) where every now & then the server will have the following error in its System Log: Event ID 3210 "Failed to authenticate with BDCServer, a Windows NT Domain controller for Mydomain Domain". And on the BDC server's System log, I'm getting the following error: "Event ID 5722: The session setup from the ServerX failed to authenticate, The name of the account referenced in the security database is ServerX$. The following error occurred: Access is denied."

Never the less, the server is working fine but when I rebooted it today (in 4 different instances), the same above two errors occurred again. I did run the netdom utility to test the Secure Channel using the parameters: "Netdom member ServerX /Query" & the secure channel was successfully verified with no errors. And now it seem to be happening only after a reboot.

This problem is really annoying so please if you have any info on how to fix it please let me know.

Regards,

Amjad.

I recently came across this site:-
http://www.eventid.net/

You can search for the EventID there and get info on them. You need to subscribe to get full access but even without subscribing you may get some useful info.
