I have 4 client machines (win95/98) on an NT domain (NT4.0 sp3). whenever I try to give user-level share access then share the drive I get the error message: Can not view a list of users at this time. when trying to access drive from accress the network error msg: there are currently no logon servers to available to service the logon request. All the network configurations are fine.. all nessary protocols are installed.. correct domain logon..correct workgroups.. ect ect.. I have been trying to figue this out for about 2 weeks now and am getting rather frustrated. The 4th client had a share set up and when it booted up this morning shareing was disabled and error msg above... What the H**l is going on???????????

Firstly, How is your Server set up? 1)Workgroup or 2)Domain I know you prob have it set up as Domain ...but check anyways..:0) after that.... Try un-installing all protocols on your NT server and your client machines "except TCP/IP"...and then reboot...

I'm not sure what causes this but I've had the same problem and managed to get round it by..... Installing Office97! I imagine a dll or something must get modified but I'm not sure which one or how. Whether uninstalling Office afterwards will leave the machine working I'm not sure, but if all else fails (as it did with me) then that solution seems to work.
Summary: My question is I am unable to get a backup we are using exchange and Arcserv, for some reason when I come in the I check my back log I sometime incomplete backups but most of the time it always fail. ...
