I've got IE5.5 on my NT4 (SP6a). I can dial to my ISP, but when starting IE5, type in Address such as http://www.computing.net and I only see a flash on my dialup connection, then all quiet, and after a while, the message "cannot find ..." comes up. It seems that something is stopping IE5. I remember in win98, there was a security hole and you have to stop "Sharing" on TCP/IP. Microsoft stop the IE4 responding to Internet connection. Is this the same problem with NT4 ? if so, how do I disable sharing, to enable IE5 viewing webpages ?
