I have a Win NT Server with SP6a and some 5 clients connected. All of a sudden it started giving me the blue screen and saying "Beginning dump of physical memory" may be 2-3 times a day. I decided to upgrade WinNT Server with the WinNT Server CD, but now i can't even install SP6a because it gives me blue screen and dumping physical memory every time i try to install the SP. It mentions some files on top of the blue screen, sometimes htfs.sys and ntoskrnl.exe What do i do? thanks

Sounds like a hardware failure of some kind. Make sure your cpu fan is working as well as the power supply fan. Look for the stop error and look it up on Technet or Knowledge Base as to what the cause could be.

What is the first set of numbers? Like 0xc000021a or similar? My suggestion would be to strip the server down to hard drive, video card and nic. Wipe the drive and start fresh. Usually reason for what you describe, especially backed up by it happening with install, is device driver problems. This could be the wrong driver being selected or hardware not behaving as the driver expects.
