Reply: (edit)This type of error is common when you're using Microsoft Office in any system based on NT technology operating under NTFS. The solution is very simple: Install Microsoft Office Service Pack (Latest Version). This will correct the problem inmediately.

Reply: (edit)Hi Steve, Were you able to successfully resolve your Dr. Watson Access Violation error using MS Word 97? I am having the same error and wonder which version of Office Service Pack may have fixed things?

Reply: (edit)Hello ! I had the same problem with my Outlook 2000. SPx does not helped me - but when I used the "find and repair" found under "Help" in outlook (I'm not sure that this is correct names - because I use Norwegian version)it solved the problem for me. Put the CD with Office 2000 in your drive - click on "Find and repair" - and after 2-3 minutes with auto "fixing" -hopefully you have no problem with access violation. Will you please let us know if that fix your problem - as it did with mine ?
