okay .. I need to know if there's a way to map a network share to pc that a user is logged into remotely over the network..
ie. to map a network share to "my" pc .... i'd type net use g: \\servername\directory

however would it be possible to map a network share to a users pc from my pc .. using DOS ??

its a windows NT network.

actually the syntax for net use \\servername\sharename

Not sure what you mean by "dos". Command/cmd prompt or from boot diskette.. what?

If two pcs are up and shares are available on each with correct account access information you can map a share "remotely". In other words the remote user can map to your pc and visa versa.

If you want to automate that for the remote user you do this thru the domain logon script or run a batch file in startup if peer to peer.
