DOS can't see disk after format

I bought a NT 4 on ebay and used a win 98 to fdisk and format with the help of depart.exe. However I can't load anything on the system now because I get this error message. "no DOS hard disk has one that has ot had SETUP run on it. SETUP the computer so DOS can see the disk and/or run SETUP on this machine." I don't have a clue.

Not sure but I think NT cannot understand win98's FAT32 stuff. Try FAT16: it won't take a disk over 2Gb but at least NT can see a Win98 formatted disk.
