Hi all,

I've been searching for a solution to our network of NT4 workstations logging into an NT4 Server.

On any attempt to logon to the domain, the message "The system cannot log you on now because the domain NAME is not available."

The network works fine, I've tried deleting the workstations from Server Manager as per the only Microsoft TechNet message I could find and all of the other messages I've found on Computing.net seem to have been heading along other paths.

The first problem with deleting from Server Manager is even well after the 15 minute window, the name remains, on the one occasion it did get removed, any attempt to get the workstation back onto the domain failed.

Any help would be appreciated.

Try to take the workstation of the net, and in to any workgroup, - then reboot, as allways.
After reboot, then join the domain again, and you are wellcomed once again, - not magic, just Bill Gates ;-)

take care...
