When I try to log on the domain on a NT workstation, a message states that the domain is not available. However when I logon to the local administrator account, I am able to ping the PDC by its IP address and NetBIOS name.
This same machine is able to logon to the domain if I connect it directly to the network and give it a "real" static IP address. As it is right now, it is connected to a DHCP server/router which is assigning it "private" ip addresses (ie 192.168.0.xxx).
Anyone have any ideas why it would not logon to the domain with a private ip address, yet it can still get internet access?
I've tried disjoining the domain. It will not let me rejoin the domain if I use it with the dynamic "private" ip addresses. It says no domain controller could be located.

do you have DHCP set up properly? check the subnet setting in DHCP.
Also, I assume your using NAT right. Make sure that the route is setup properly.
