Hi!
I think Windows NT has problem with the search order of the domainnames. It searchs until the 3rd line and then stopes to read the other domainnames. I have to always push the domain, which is after the 3rd line order, to the top.

Is it a known Problem or is there any solution or trick ??

Thank you.

Put your primary DNS server first in the list.

Hello Experts!

It ist all about the DNS domain suffix in NT4.0. Microsoft says one can enter upto six domain suffixs in the Domain Suffix Search Order list.
However in my company my freinds tell me that is only Microsoft's' theory'. In reality only the first three suffixs will be appended to the Host name. The others will be ignored. We have a very big problem in that we have more than eleven suffix entries and the ones after the third line in the search list will be ignored.
My friends are Novel gurus und I am a Microsoft guy and I could not believe them simply. Can you help me please to find out what they are claiming is true or NOT?
Your quick response to this matter will highly be appreciated.
Thank you
