I have windows nt server act as standalone server. I want to make a web server and I got my homepages ready. I can view it from any computers on my campus with http//my Ip, but people outside cant. What do i need to do..please help

Have you configured IIS? Which version are you using? NT 4.0 should be using IIS 4.0. Is port 80 blocked at school?
Randy

my IIS is version 4, I think I configured the IP address, default page, port is 80 (i dont know if it is blocked), other than that I didnt do any more config. Did I miss something?
I wonder if I have to set up nt as primary domain controller (is it possible to create new domain and not depending on school domain) or do i have to set up the its own dns server? I think right now, my school provide the dns and my ip. Thanks a lot, sorry if my questions sounds stupid. I am just starting with this server stuff.
Thank you Randy

Lesson 1:
Do you have registered domain out on the internet? If not, there is your problem. You are currently running an INTRANET... or internal web. As it goes, a TCPIP needed to be routed through the internet. How does a packet know where to go? A Domain provides a IP address, DNS entires. Please be careful...
You need to check the Internet usage policy for your school and make sure you do not violate it.Randy

Hi Randy, I think I need lesson #2 :)
So I guess there is no way to get my websites (in my server) connected to internet from inside the campus domain.
What are the alternative? pay money to services that provide subdomain or domain names and have them post my sites? How is this works ? Are they gonna link my IP to the domain?
How can I set up my own domain from outside campus?
