Hi everyone....

I have two Nt 4 servers. A primary and a secondary domain controller. My primary domain controller crashed.

It is possible to change a secondary domain controller to a primary domain controller?

I want to put my secondary domain controller
the primary domain controller because i don't
want to reinstall the primary. I want to have only a Nt server on my network.

It is possible to make that without reinstall?

Thanks in advance....

On the BDC, go to Start>Programs>Administrative Tools (Common)> Server Manager.

Once in the server manager window, go to Computer on the menu (top left) Select the Option "Promote To Primary Domain Controller" There you go...

Have Fun!
