Domain Admin password

I can not log into a msg server with the domain admin password if I select the pdc as the domain. I get the error "The Local policy of this system does not permit you to logon interactively". However, if i choose the domain msg, I can log in just fine. The server seems to be set up so that the server name is msg and the domain it is administering is msg. Does this mean that this is a pdc and it will not allow me to log on with the domain admin password, because it does not recognize the domain admi password I have given it?

I have set up an admin account with all of the same properties as the pdc on the msg server, but still get the same error msg "The Local policy of this system does not permit you to logon interactively". I have looked in the system policy and can find no traces of restrictions that would prevent me from logging on interactively, please help.

The problem is probably not what you think you need the permission of 'log on locally' in the account you are attempting to use on the msg server. You need to take the user account you are using on the domain place it into a global group on the PDC then place the global group into a local group on the msg server that has the user right 'log on locally' this should allow you to log onto the machine itself rather than the domain.
