I am looking for way to perform the NT domain logon function for application authentication purpose via my MS SQL stored procedure. Ideally, I would execute a command line utility in my SQL stored procedure using xp_cmdshell with the parameters NT login ID, password & NT domain passed in. The utility would provide the login result in form of command line output to be captured as xp_cmdshell return value so that the stored procedure could determine whether the login is successful or not.
While I cannot find such utility or any other way to do that.
